Archives and Memory Day in Caregiving
June 12, 2026 @Montreal, Canada
Place Courage, in collaboration with the Regroupement des aidants et aidantes naturel·les de Montréal, invites you to an event centred on archives and caregiving: browse publications, share conversations, and submit your testimony.
Archives are not just boxes and papers. They are lives, struggles, and acts of care. Come immerse yourself in the collective memory of caregiving: explore the RAANM archives, meet those who keep these stories alive, and share your own testimony if you wish. Together, let’s inscribe your experiences into History.
This day is for you if you are:
- A caregiver, current or former;
- A researcher in caregiving, art/care, or archival studies;
- Simply curious about this reality.
Program:
- Free exploration of the RAANM archives
- Testimony collection (on a voluntary basis)
- Video screening
- Introduction to Wikipedia editing
- Selection of books on art and caregiving, in collaboration with Artexte, library and exhibition centre in contemporary art.
Light refreshments and snacks served.
This event is part of the International Archives Week 2026, under the theme Archives for Justice: Rights, Memory and Futures #archivesforjustice
Friday, June 12, from noon to 7 p.m.
